When you use ClassCart, you voluntarily share certain information:

• Account Information: When you join ClassCart, we collect information such as your name and email address. For students, name is optional, with the possibility of using initials instead.
• School Information: We collect school information in the process of setting up your ClassCart, allowing the program to streamline your food ordering. This includes the school name, country and state, website, logo, term dates, bell times, and more.
• Content: We collect information when you upload a recipe, invite users, add costing links, upload recipe images and so on. Information provided through the normal use of the program such as classes, schedules, and orders, are also collected.
• Shared Content: We collect information about shared information such as recipes made public. These recipes can be viewed by users from other schools, and publicly.
• Your communication with us: If you contact us for customer support or otherwise, we collect the content of these communications.

1.2 Information we collect when you use ClassCart

As you use ClassCart, we collect information to help us cater the program to you and understand your needs. The following information is what is collected:

Usage information

• Action logs to help with debugging. Recipe created, ingredient updated, order made etc.
• Costing links, recipe uploads and more, to help us improve the service and detect any bugs.

Device information

• Support conversations via Intercom detect the browser being used, as this may be relevant to some troubleshooting.
• Device information - context for support and debugging

Payment data is handled by a secure third party provider, Stripe (https://stripe.com/au).

2. How We Use This Information

We're committed to providing a tailored service that streamlines food ordering and improves over time. To do this we use your information to improve our services, including to:

• Identify when you use our services
• Facilitate food ordering for school cooking classes
• Communicate with users about their orders, and offer support with context
• Meet legal and operational obligations

3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell personal data. We only share data with:

• Payment processors (e.g. Stripe)
• Hosting and infrastructure providers (e.g. DigitalOcean, WorkOS etc.)

4. Data Protection

We take data protection seriously and implement measures to safeguard your information:

• All traffic is secured via HTTPS.
• Data is stored in secure environments with limited access. Our database is hosted in Australia.
• We routinely update and patch our systems.
